Do you feel exhausted from constantly holding it together, week after week, even when you're doing your best?
Do you struggle with feeling like your nervous system is constantly turned up, on high alert or completely shut down? Perhaps you feel stuck—cycling between overwhelm and shutdown—leaving you tense, numb, or disconnected from yourself.
You may sense that something shifted after a significant experience—such as an accident, medical procedure, assault, or early life trauma—and you haven’t felt the same since.
Does your environment feel overstimulating, leaving your body tense, scattered, or exhausted? Maybe your find yourself reacting in ways that don't feel YOU or that you are often hiding away in isolation to avoid these intense experiences.
Perhaps you recognize that you often have great ideas and intentions, yet you struggle to execute them the way your heart desires.
In relationships, you may notice patterns of getting too close and getting hurt, keeping people at a distance that feels lonely, or struggling to find a sense of safety and ease with others.
Maybe relationships just feel harder than they “should.”
Living this way can be deeply draining.
When your nervous system is constantly activated or shut down, even small tasks can feel overwhelming. Over time, this can lead to chronic stress, fatigue, burnout, disconnection, or a sense that you’re moving through life on autopilot.
You may start to question your resilience, your relationships, or your ability to move forward. Feeling stuck—despite your best efforts—can create a sense of hopelessness and isolation, as though something is fundamentally wrong with you.
You may feel frustrated that life doesn’t reflect who you truly are or as if your body is working against you.
You may feel frustrated or confused—wondering why insight alone hasn’t been enough, or why change feels so hard even when you deeply want it.
These patterns are not signs of failure; they are often intelligent responses to experiences where your system needed protection.
When your body has learned to stay in survival mode, these patterns aren’t flaws—they’re protective responses.
Trauma-informed, somatic therapy works WITH your nervous system rather than against it. Together, we move at a pace that feels safe—supporting regulation, restoring connection, and helping you feel more at home in your body and your life.
You don’t have to keep pushing through alone.
Healing is possible—and it can begin here.

Hi! I’m Ashley Pinto, an integrative somatic psychotherapist specialized in working with trauma, anxiety/panic, women with ADHD, attachment and family of origin issues. I am a nervous system specialist, trained in Somatic Experiencing and IFS- Internal Family Systems (Parts Work). I help adult women understand themselves better and shift the patterns that hinder them from living their desired lives. I enjoy delving into how our brains and nervous systems work, guiding people to recognize the ingenious ways they have been caring for themselves, along with the often-overlooked inner wisdom that deserves attention rather than criticism. If that excites you, fantastic! And if it feels intimidating, don’t worry; I excel at simplifying these concepts and making them engaging!
If you are looking for Integrative Counseling Group, you are in the right place! A couple of years ago I chose to return to solo practice in service of my own nervous system, family/personal relationships, and in pursuit of providing alternative services that I feel really benefit clients in a way that the traditional insurance-based group practice model cannot. I continue to use my passion and expertise in serving women in the Naperville area, throughout Chicagoland, and all of Illinois.
My integrative therapy intensive model is designed to help you understand YOUR nervous system and learn how to find balance and peace within yourself. Book an intensive package in Naperville or online and let me support you on your journey to wellbeing.
More and more clients and therapists are turning toward Therapy Intensives - a brief, highly focused approach to treatment that helps clients achieve their goals much quicker and in a way that really supports their nervous system in the process.
Therapy Intensives are NOT just longer sessions. They are designed, delivered, and experienced very differently than the traditional 53 minutes session. Consider how accelerated your progress could be if you didn't have to stop at the 53 minute mark? When we work in extended blocks, we are able to engage in really collaborative and deep work so that you can return to daily life with a sense of personal transformation - now, not several months or years from now.
